University of Oklahoma Announces Scholarship Increases for Next Year

In its continuing effort to keep the University of Oklahoma affordable for all students, OU will increase the amount of money students may receive next year.

NORMAN – In its continuing effort to keep an education at the University of Oklahoma affordable for all students, OU will increase the amount of money students may receive with several freshman scholarships for the 2019 -2020 school year.

Most scholarships increased anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 per merit-based award per year. Increases will be available starting in fall of 2019.

OU chose to not make any increases in tuition for the 2018-2019 school year also in an effort to help keep an OU education affordable for students.

“We want every top student in the state to think of OU as their future college home,” said OU President James Gallogly. “OU remains committed to providing the best educational opportunities to students, and to help with that, we are providing more financial aid for those granted scholarships.”
