OU to Receive The Davis Cup

Representatives of the Davis United World College Scholars Program will visit OU to award record-setting international enrollment.

Representatives of the Davis United World College Scholars Program will visit the University of Oklahoma to present the Davis Cup at a ceremony followed by a luncheon scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6.

OU is the only public university in the nation to be awarded the prestigious Davis Cup four consecutive years in a row in recognition of its record-setting enrollment of 56 United World College international freshmen. 

Speakers at the event will include OU President David L. Boren; Dr. Phil Geier, executive director of the Davis United World College Scholars Program; Shelby Davis, founder of the Davis United World College Scholars Program; and student speaker, Robert Bob Okello, representing OU’s United World College Scholars student organization.

  • Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony and luncheon, which will be held in the Sandy Bell Gallery, on the lower level of Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, 555 Elm Ave.
