OKLAHOMA CITY – “The Rehabilitated Brain” is the topic for February’s Neuro Night forum, scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. This event is held in collaboration with The Fountains at Canterbury, which hosts the event at 1404 N.W. 122nd St. and also will provide a complimentary light dinner at 5:30 p.m. The objectives of the Neuro Night series are improving neurological health through education and the sharing of information about research and access to care.
During the event, members of the community will have an opportunity to speak directly with specialists in the topic presented and discover the cutting edge of research and clinical practice in this area. The forum is part of the Neuro Night series sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for Neuroscience, a consortium of neuroscientists from across the state that serves as a research center and information resource at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
The forum will include a panel of three invited speakers:
- David Garrison, Ph.D., David Ross Boyd Professor, professor emeritus, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Allied Health, OU Health Sciences Center
- Carrie Ciro, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, associate professor, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Allied Health, OU Health Sciences Center
- Alexander Mdzinarishvili, Ph.D., assistant professor, Physical Therapy Program in the College of Allied Health, OU Health Sciences Center
