The University of Oklahoma's "Galileo’s World" will host a day-long symposium Thursday at the Sam Noble Museum. The symposium will explore the themes of Galileo’s World and feature presenters from the Vatican Observatory and Museo Galileo. One of these speakers is the former Vice President of Microsoft Research. Due to limited seating, reservations are required and can be made online.
2. Free Movie 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II'
The odds will be in your favor this Friday because "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II" will be shown for FREE. Watch this action-packed film as "The Hunger Games" saga comes to a close. Get your seats quickly because screenings of the movie will be shown at 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and midnight at the Meacham Auditorium.
3. College Con
Calling all Super Smash Bros. players, cosplay fanatics and Star Wars enthusiasts – College Con is back and better than ever. Head over at 6 p.m this Friday to the Union Ballroom to enter a cosplay contest, participate in video game tournaments and visit the awesome vendors. While looking around you have the chance to win prizes like a PlayStation 4 and a lightsaber.
4. Men's Gymnastics
Come support your nine-time national championship-winning Men’s Gymnastics team as the members take on Minnesota at the McCasland Field House. So far this season, the Sooners have risen to the top at their meets and we doubt this one will be any different. Join them as they defend for 10 at 5 p.m. Saturday.
5. E-Week Olympics
Happy Engineer's Week (E-Week)! Help the enginners at OU take a study break to celebrate St. Patrick Thursday. E-Olympics, sponsored by Shell Oil Company, is a competition between four-person teams where they're able to battle it out at the Lloyd Noble Center in the men’s basketball practice gym. Some games your team could play are dodgeball and relay races. Did we mention that you could win cash prizes?
