Kick start your weekend this Thursday night with the first Sound Lounge of 2016: Lyrics and Lattes. All for free, UPB will present to you a dynamic lineup of OU students ready to entertain and don’t forget the food, coffee (obviously) and other treats. Trust us, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got a seat in the Beaird Lounge at 8 p.m. — your ears and mouth will thank you.
2. Free UPB movie 'The Good Dinosaur'
Ever wonder what it would be like to have a dinosaur as your BFF? Thanks to UPB, you can find out this weekend for FREE. Come to any of the three screenings at 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and midnight to have your heart warmed by the journeys of Arlo the Apatosaurus and his human bestie, all before it’s on Blu-Ray/DVD.
3. Pink and Black Ball
Join the Gender + Equality Center and the OU community Friday night to make it “one for the History Books.” Come dressed in your finest semi-formal attire and enjoy a live band, DJ and photo booth at this year's Pink and Black Ball. Starting at 8 p.m. in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom, you can buy your tickets in advance here for $15 or $20 at the door. And if you need a little more encouragement, there will also be a chocolate fountain and potatotini bar plus a chance to win a Bob Stoops signed football and personal training sessions at the Huff (remember those New Years resolutions?).

It’s finally here, folks — OU baseball season. Head out to the newly renovated L. Dale Mitchell Park this Friday and see your Sooners play their first game of 2016. The first pitch will be thrown at 4 p.m. sharp, so grab your crimson caps and be ready to cheer as the baseball team takes on Northeastern for a huge season start.
5. Hockey Match
Thanks to the OU Hockey team, you have the perfect way to end your Sooner Weekend. You've got two chances to watch as the Vikings visit OKC. Grab some friends, warm clothes and carpool to the Blazers Ice Centre at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Come show your Sooner spirit and watch the OU Hockey team as they battle it out on the ice against Augustana.
