FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nov. 29, 2016
NORMAN –The student housing expansion project is one of the topics to be discussed by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents at its regular meeting Thursday, Dec. 1, in Norman.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the South End Upper Club of The Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium with items submitted by Cameron University, followed by Rogers State University and then OU.
The OU board will consider a recommendation to award a contract to purchase furniture for the student housing expansion project. The proposed new facilities will house 630 students in single- and double-occupancy rooms and multi-occupancy suites and semi-suites. The project will expand the university’s existing housing options and attract more upper division students to on-campus housing. If approved, this order would include beds, mattresses, four-drawer dressers, desks and nightstands for all 630 bedrooms in the facility.
The next meeting of the OU Board of Regents is currently scheduled for Jan. 25 and 26 in Oklahoma City.
