OU President David L. Boren Thanks Scholarship Supporters at October Meeting of the OU Board of Regents

OKLAHOMA CITY – University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren today announced that more than $82 million has been raised for OU graduate and undergraduate scholarships since the launch of the Live On, University 125th Anniversary Campaign in September 2014. Of this amount, nearly $17 million came from donors in the Oklahoma City area.

“Increasing the amount of scholarships available to OU students continues to be my highest fundraising priority,” said Boren. “With state support for public higher education continuing to decline, a greater share of the financial responsibility is placed on the student. Our donors who have so generously supported scholarships make a real difference in the lives of many grateful students who are facing rising costs in pursuit of their degree.”

Since the original Campaign for Scholarships launched in 2004, more than $300 million has been raised for OU graduate and undergraduate scholarships.
