The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Scholars Room of Oklahoma Memorial Union with items submitted by Cameron University, followed by Rogers State University and OU.
The Commission on Dietetic Registration has announced that beginning in 2024, it will no longer administer the dietetic registration exam to anyone with less than a master’s degree. The OU Department of Nutritional Sciences currently offers both an undergraduate B.S. degree program and a professional M.A. degree program. The Board of Regents will consider proposed program modifications to both the B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and the M.A. in Dietetics Program to meet the criteria from the commission. If approved, the department will accept students into the M.A. program only. B.S. degree completion will be accomplished on completion of required coursework during work toward completion of the master’s degree.
The board also will consider a recommendation to award a contract to repair the Williams Pavilion Parking Structure at the OU Health Sciences Center. The board has previously approved the Parking Structure Repairs project as a part of the comprehensive Campus Master Plan of Capital Improvement Projects for the OU Health Sciences Center Campus.
The next meeting of the OU Board of Regents is currently scheduled for June 20-22 in Norman.
