OKLAHOMA CITY – Improving neurological health through education, research and access to care with regard to rehabilitation will be the topic of August’s Neuro Night forum, scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Fountains at Canterbury, 1404 N.W. 122nd St. A light dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

During the event, members of the community will have an opportunity to speak directly with specialists in the topic presented and discover the cutting edge of research and clinical practice in this area. The forum is part of the Neuro Night series sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for Neuroscience, a consortium of neuroscientists from across the state that serves as a research center and information resource at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

The forum will include a panel of three invited speakers:

• Carrie Ciro, Ph.D., OTR/L, assistant professor and director of the Occupational Performance Laboratory, OU Health Sciences Center Department of Rehabilitation Services

• Elizabeth Hile, PT, Ph.D., NCS, assistant professor and director of the Cancer Rehabilitation Services, OU Health Sciences Center Department of Rehabilitation Services 

• Cynthia Robinson, OTD, OTR/L, AFWC, FAOTA, assistant professor and program director for the Master of Occupational Therapy Program, OU Health Sciences Center Department of Rehabilitation Services
