Valentine’s Day Fundraiser to Benefit OU Art Students

OU's School of Art & Art History’s third annual Art from the Heart fundraiser will be held on Valentine’s Day and will benefit art students.

The University of Oklahoma School of Art & Art History’s third annual Art from the Heart fundraiser will be held on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Lightwell Gallery.

Art from the Heart is an annual fundraiser hosted by the OU School of Art & Art History. The luncheon is open to the public and is a wonderful opportunity for students, faculty, staff and the Norman community to support art students and enjoy a delicious lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade soups. OU students and faculty donate one-of-a-kind works of art, which will be available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis. All-you-can-eat sandwiches and soup plus one piece of original art costs just $15. All-you-can-eat soup and sandwiches without a piece of art is $10. All proceeds help fund School of Art & Art History student travel and scholarships.

“Art from the Heart is an event to raise money to benefit art and art history majors. This money will help fund supplies, scholarships, travel and research, which should, in turn, help to enrich our students’ educational experience here at OU,” said Dr. Mary Jo Watson, director of the School of Art & Art History.
