Recent OU Aviation graduate Jen Scanlan has been on a post-graduation adventure. As part of Cessna's Discover Flying Challenge, she is currently flying a small Cessna aircraft called a 162 Skycatcher across the country, landing at air shows, fly-ins, fixed base operators and Cessna Pilot Centers.
The purpose of the program is to show off the 162 Skycatcher, as well as to interest a new generation of pilots in aviation training.
Scanlan, who has lived all over the country, considers this a dream job. "I love flying and traveling more than anything and am so excited to be part of the Skycatcher team!" she says. She chose to attend OU after extensive research, and in a nod to her alma mater, her call sign is Boomer.
You can follow the details of Jen's journey across the country on Facebook and Twitter. To learn more about the details of the Discover Flying Challenge, visit their website.
