Centralized Academic Scholarship Hub

The Centralized Academic Scholarship Hub (CASH) is where current OU students can apply for all merit and financial need-based OU scholarships. The link to CASH opens annually on Oct. 1 for the next academic year and closes on Feb. 1.

The following scholarships in CASH include specific military/veteran criteria that is considered when selecting scholarship recipients from completed applications.

  • Regularly enrolled graduate or undergraduate student
  • Currently serving or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • U.S. citizen
  • Satisfactory progress toward graduation
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Not a donor or an immediate family member of the donor
  • U.S. citizen 
  • WWI descendent or direct descendent of army or navy veteran
  • Financial need
  • Geology or Geophysics degree
  • U.S. Marine Corps or U.S. Navy Corps
  • Honorable discharge following AD of said branches
  • Navy Corps qualify as Marine by:
        NEC/MOS of 8404
        Attended Field Medical Service School
        Stationed with a Marine Corps unit in combat area
        Navy Corps meets all criteria that Marines must meet under definition
  • Cannot be the donor or donors immediate family member
  • Full-time, graduate or undergraduate, regularly enrolled student
  • Currently serving or has served in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • A U.S. citizen
  • Making satisfactory progress towards graduation
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Not be the donors or an immediate family member of the donors
  • No arts, liberal studies, etc…
  • Vietnam veterans 
  • Descendants of Vietnam veterans 
  • American citizens of Vietnamese descent
  • Full-time student
  • GRFD recipient at the University of Oklahoma Army ROTC in good standing
  • Minimum GPA: 3.3/4.0 overall
  • Degree-seeking in one of the following engineering disciplines: chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, petroleum
  • Demonstrated interest in the oil and gas industry through previous job experience, course work, and/or research
  • Winner selected early Fall semester with Army ROTC leadership
  • Full-time student
  • Member of the University of Oklahoma Student Veterans Association chapter in good standing
  • Minimum GPA: 3.3/4.0 overall
  • Degree-seeking in one of the following engineering disciplines: chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, petroleum
  • Demonstrated interest in the oil & gas industry through previous job experience, course work, and/or research
  • Winner selected early Fall semester with Student Veterans Association chapter, College of Engineering and Veteran Student Services’ leadership

The Pat Tillman Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships - building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others.

Tillman Scholarships help cover direct study-related expenses, including tuition and fees, books and living stipend.  Eligible applicants are service members, veterans or military spouses pursuing undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degrees as a full-time student at a public or private, U.S.-based accredited institution.

Other Scholarship Resources

This scholarship program offers financial support to all Army women who are serving or have honorably served, and their children. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need. The Legacy Scholarships are available for tuition assistance for certificate programs, coursework at community colleges, four year academic institutions and graduate schools. Annual applications must be completed online and support documents must be postmarked by Jan. 15. Visit www.awfnd.org for more details and link to the online application.
