Bio:
Ridley comes from a proud military family and has always had a passion for supporting service members and their families. They spent much of their teenage years volunteering with the Oklahoma National Guard and at 16 was named The Oklahoma Army National Guard Youth Volunteer of the Year. Ridley's father recently retired with 30 years of service, and they are very proud of him.
The OU Army ROTC was a natural fit for Ridley, and they are so excited to be able to support the next generation of service members.
Ridley lives in Norman with their wife and very spoiled black cat. In their free time they enjoy board games, needlework, and camping.
Advice for 1st year students: Always ask for help when you need it. It’s a great new experience, but it can be overwhelming sometimes. There are so many people here who want to help you and want to see you succeed! It can be hard, but help is here if you need it.
Favorite tradition: I don’t know if this counts, but I love the bells. They make me smile every time I hear them ringing.
My favorite place on campus: I love the benches outside of the Union. They are nice and shady, and always buzzing with students and activity.
