Bex Lisenbee's Bio

Dr. Bex Lisenbee, DSW, LCSW, PMH-C

Dr. Rebecca (Bex) Lisenbee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma Ann and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work, where she obtained a BSW in 2004 and an MSW in 2011. She began her career in child welfare and adoptions for the State of Oklahoma before transitioning to medical social work specializing in maternal/child health. Bex is a trauma therapist trained in culturally responsive interventions (EMDR, Neurofeedback, and Brainspotting) and is currently an affiliate instructor in the MSW program at Metropolitan State University in Denver. She is a co-conspirator for change surrounding racial and gender disparities in healthcare and education. Post pandemic she decided to pursue a Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA. Bex is beyond thrilled to extend mental health services to the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences by creating an inclusive and inviting space for students to explore wellness and navigate challenges. Bex lives in Moore, OK with her husband, Todd, and their goldendoodle, Bear.  In her free time, she enjoys photography, travel, and reading.

Dr. Bex Lisenbee is the embedded counselor for the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Lisenbee provides individual therapy, drop-in consultations, and crisis services for CAS students. Dr. Lisenbee's office is located in the Dodge Student Success and Advising Center in the Physical Sciences Center, Room 260.
