Ally Welling's Bio

Ally Welling, M.S.

Ally received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Davidson College where she participated on the Davidson Women’s Basketball team and served as a member of the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Part of her responsibilities included involvement in the Mental Health and Wellness Committee that worked to provide mental health education and resources to student-athletes on campus. Ally went on to obtain her Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Arkansas and completed her graduate internship within the athletics department at the UofA. Her experience includes working with individuals on their adjustment to college life, identity development, self-confidence, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and emotion regulation. 

Ally strives to create a safe and trusting space that allows for growth, understanding, and collaboration. She believes in an approach to counseling that is rooted in empathy, active listening, and compassion. Ally hopes to empower individuals to embrace their authenticity and build the tools and skills necessary to support lasting change.

In her free time, Ally enjoys exploring new places with her dog, reading, and going to the movies.
