The fraternity and sorority community at the University of Oklahoma is home to over 55 organizations representing various national and local entities. Much like any student organization, there are guidelines and policies in place for Greek-lettered organizations to start a chapter on the Norman campus.
All single-sex, social Greek lettered organizations are required to serve under a governing council at the University of Oklahoma. These councils include: Affiliate Circle, Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Panhellenic Association.
