Greek Preview Day

Greek Preview Day is a chance to high school seniors and their families to learn about all things fraternity and sorority life. Workshops, meet and greets, community and chapter facility tours, and more are offered to help prepare our newest members of the OU Family with everything they need to know about Oklahoma Greek experience. 

Greek Preview Day - March 28, 2025

Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services is excited to present Greek Preview Day 2025! We can't wait to welcome you to campus and for you to learn more about the fraternity and sorority experience here at the University of Oklahoma. 

To better serve attendees, Greek Preview Day is split into two separate events - each with a focus on various aspects of the Fraternity and Sorority Experience. Check out the schedules below for the full day experience or evening-only experience.

This experience will teach you everything you need to know about joining a social or special-interest fraternity or sorority at the University of Oklahoma. This session will have an emphasis on the Affiliate Circle (AC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), and the Panhellenic Association (PAN). This experience includes an opening general session and fraternity or sorority recruitment workshops. In the afternoon, students will visit 5 chapter houses and parents and/or guests will have a parent and family session. 


9:00 AM - Check in Begins at McCasland Fieldhouse
10:00 AM - Opening Session at McCasland Fieldhouse
10:30 AM - Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment Workshop Breakouts
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM - Lunch On Your Own in Norman
1:30 - 2:00 PM - Organize for House Tours
2:15 PM - Afternoon Breakout Events

  • Students attend 5 house tours, modeling Round 1 of Formal Recruitment 
  • Parents and Guests attend Parent & Family Session in the McCasland Fieldhouse -- Session includes Panel with Fraternity and Sorority Information!

3:30 PM - Parent & Family Session ends 
4:30 PM - Student House Tours end 
5:00 PM - Event ends

This experience will teach you everything you need to know about joining a multiculturally-based fraternity or sorority. This session has an emphasis on the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and includes information about Historically Black organizations, Asian-interest, Hispanic or Latinx-interest, Indigenous-interest, and Multicultural-interest organizations. This experience includes an opening general session, breakouts, meet-and-greet time with our chapters, and a free meal.


4:00 - 4:30 PM - Check in outside Meacham Auditorium in the Oklahoma Memorial Union
4:30 - 5:00 PM - Opening Session in Meacham Auditorium
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Breakouts for Council Information and Recruitment Workshops
6:30 - 7:30 PM - Meet-and-Greet with Chapters, free meal in Union Courtyard
7:30 PM - Event ends

Full Day Experience

For students interested in Panhellenic, Interfraternity Council,
or the Affiliate Circle.

This experience will teach you everything you need to know about joining a social or special-interest fraternity or sorority at the University of Oklahoma. This session will have an emphasis on the Affiliate Circle (AC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), and the Panhellenic Association (PAN). This experience includes an opening general session and fraternity or sorority recruitment workshops. In the afternoon, students will visit 5 chapter houses and parents and/or guests will have a parent and family session. 

Individual student passes are $40 and individual guest passes are $10. Guest passes can be added on during registration.

Evening Experience

For students interested in the Multicultural Greek Council or
National Pan-Hellenic Council.

This experience will teach you everything you need to know about joining a multiculturally-based fraternity or sorority. This event does not have a charge. Please register by February 19th to ensure a meal voucher for attendees.

Greek Preview Day is a great time to learn more about the fraternity and sorority experience. Attendees can choose which session (full day or evening) better fits their interests. Expect to learn about our entire Greek community, how to prepare for membership intake or recruitment, various campus resources, and more! 

Students attending the full day session can expect to visit five chapters on their house tour visits to get a feel for what the formal recruitment process is like. Evening session attendees will get to meet with chapters at a tabling event with a free meal. 

This event is being held in the McCasland Fieldhouse and abides by the OU Athletics Clear Bag Policy. Please check out the information on the policy to expedite the security process at the door.

We suggest wearing something comfortable! March weather in Oklahoma can be unpredictable. Most of the programming will take place in the McCasland Fieldhouse, Oklahoma Memorial Union, or the Donald W. Reynolds Performing Arts Center, however tours of chapter houses will take place outdoors. Wearing some comfortable shoes will be a must! 

Visitor parking is available in a variety of parking lots across campus this day. You are able to park in whichever one is most convenient for your family. The Duck Pond LotJenkins Avenue Parking Garage, or Stadium Parking Garage are available to event guests this day. Additional parking is available in the visitor lot west of the Boyd House on Boyd Street and commuter lot north of Boyd House on University Blvd. All parking spaces require a parking permit that is good for the entire day. 

A parking permit will be emailed to you after registration.

We are happy to provide an opportunity for a fee waiver for Greek Preview Day.  Our team wants to give every student the chance to learn about the fraternity and sorority experience. Should you wish to apply for a fee waiver, fill out the quick form below and we'll be in touch about the status of your application. 

Students applying for the fee waiver should wait to purchase student or guest passes until hearing from our team about your application.

The 2024 fee wavier application must be submitted before February 26th, 2024 at 11:59 PM CT for consideration.

Greek Preview Day is a great chance to get connected early and learn about the Greek experience on campus. It is not required to participate in any Greek recruitment process. 

If you can no longer attend, please email us at fsps@ou.edu so we can cancel your registration. Please note that the registration fee can be refunded up until one full week prior to the event.
