Standards of Excellence Program

Every fraternity and sorority participates annually in the Standards of Excellence program. Chapters attain a score based on the materials submitted and are awarded an excellence level based on the community values of scholarship, service, siblinghood, leadership, safety, and community impact. Standards of Excellence scores are included in the chapter scorecard.

After submitting their annual Standards of Excellence packet, chapters are awarded a level of excellence based on their overall score. Those excellence levels are outlined below.

Of the final score, a minimum of 15 points must be earned per section. Chapters must also have no outstanding/unresolved group conduct and/or operational violations, and must be in Good Standing with their governing council and FSPS.

One Gold Excellence level organization is chosen as the "Chapter of the Year" for their governing council annually.

Of the final score, a minimum of 15 points must be earned per section. Chapters must also have no outstanding/unresolved group conduct and/or operational violations, and must be in Good Standing with their governing council and FSPS.

Chapters receiving a Bronze Level Excellence score received 70 - 199 points. Chapters must also have no outstanding/unresolved group conduct and/or operational violations, and must be in Good Standing with their governing council and FSPS.

Chapters receiving a Probation 1 level scored less than 69 points in their Standards of Excellence packet. Additionally, a Probation 1 score might come from a late packet submission. Organizations receiving a Probation 1 score are not eligible for individual or chapter awards during the Greek Awards Program.

After the second year of a Probation 1 score, the chapter is moved to a Probation 2 status.
