Meeting started 7:30pm Herrick Hall, Cate Dorms.

    Several new people!
  1. Old Business:
    • Engineering OpenHouse:
      Mark Humphrey and Jeremiah Powell worked the NULL booth
      Got a lot of interested high school students.
      WM demo of Enlighenment, with ST:NG and other themes.
      Showed off FreeCiv and Quake 3 Test.
    • Budget status:
      Missed budger defense for Spring 2000
      Next bugest defence in Spring for Fall 2000
      Need to spend our $290 by December 31st
      Could do Philanthories or Functions to each money.
      Can earn $300 each time your group cleans Llyod Noble.
      Any money we earn this way could go to buy anything.
    • Cluster status:
      Want report from Justin Dossey:
      What do we need to do at next cluster event?
      Which machines are up/down now?
      Need recommendations for using the SGI boxen.
  1. New Business:
    • Display Permits for fliers need to be sent to Kim Fairbanks' office
      5 days before date to be displayed.
      Her office is on the fourth floor of the South wing of the Union.
    • Want a cluster events this semester,
      need to schedule the event over the list
    • Want more regular meetings, suggested the first Thrusday of every month.

    ACM Perl Lecture November 11th, this Thursday.
    ACM C/C++ Lecture Novemver 13yh, this Saturday.
  1. Good Pet Project of the Week:
    David Mitchell suggests CVS would be perfect for working on code for the cluster and a CVS server would be a great use for the SGI boxen.
