  1. Cluster status:
    Server now running RedHat 6.0 (w/DHCP)
    Clients running partial Debian installs
    Still have Telcom Dept.'s 3com switch,
    but want to get a new one (~$250)
    * Need to get more cabling (~$80)
  1. New Business:
    • Next year's budget needs to be worked out before the 8th
      (due on the 10th to UOSA)
      Note: there can be no addendum to this budget.
      We are looking for at least $60 for publicity and event money (alone).
    • Want 2 cluster events this semester,
      one needs to be a build/work event but we could use
      a demonstration event at least for Dr. Antonio
    • Want 2 installfiest's this semester.
    • Aaron Walker will work on Engineering Open House
      (want to try a Q3 demo on Linux for the kids)
    • Next Installfiest the Saturday after next!!!
      EL 100 (CS department area) September 11, 10am to 2pm.
      Note: there is a night-game here.
      We need to get all the CS sections informed about this.
      These people have special duties:

      arrange catering

      get access to EL 100 on Sept 11.
      Jeremiah Powell:
      contact Dr. Trytten and others about ACMlist and classroom announcements.
      Logan Cox:
      make flyers.

    Use hushmail.com instead of hotmail.com
    Only insane companies would work on cyrpto in the U.S.
    RMS will be giving a speech on Sept 27, OU ACM is invited.

    Justin Dossey suggests adding (some) safety checking to mkswap
