I enjoy contributing to an organization that has such a positive impact on my community and state. The university has provided so much to Oklahoma and working here is a way to ensure that resource remains available to future generations.
Making sure that all voices on campus are heard and well-represented. It is easy to forget how important your opinions are in such a large organization and the Staff Senate is a place where staff is encouraged to participate and make their opinions known, even if they happen to be critical.
I participate in a future workforce committee within Facilities Management that focuses on ways the department can improve onboarding and training processes as well as exploring ideas to ensure that staff members maintain high morale and want to stay employed with the university.
My father and I operate a business building and maintaining saltwater aquariums for commercial properties such as doctor's offices and hotel lobbies. I enjoy the challenge of trying to recreate an ocean within a glass box and the satisfaction of helping fish and coral be healthy and beautiful for visitors to enjoy.
I have a male Anatolian shepherd named Apollo who weighs 145 pounds. A female boxer named Molly who has more energy than a nuclear reactor. Also, a female cat named Olive that constantly screams at me for more food.
