With almost two decades of financial services industry experience, Eric Stevenson currently serves as President, Nationwide Retirement Solutions. He is passionate about fostering a collaborative culture to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed the unique retirement readiness needs of Nationwide’s customers, specifically plan sponsors and participants. Eric previously served as Senior Vice President, Nationwide Retirement Solutions Distribution. In this role, he led and grew a national team of 500 associates accountable for growing assets and helping more than 2.5 million retirement plan participants prepare for and live in retirement. He joined Nationwide in 2006 in Life Insurance marketing and soon after joined Retirement Solutions marketing, assuming roles of increasing responsibility. In 2007, Eric was named Vice President, Nationwide Retirement Solutions Marketing for public and private sector, where he repositioned the brand from a product focus to a customer service experience. He acquired a breadth of business experience over the previous 20+ years serving in leadership roles at Quaker Oats (now PepsiCo) and Warner Lambert (now Pfizer), where he managed sales and marketing for consumer-packaged goods and over-the-counter products. Eric is a native of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He holds the NASD Series 6, 26 and 65 licenses. Eric was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt to the Board of Regents in March of 2019. He previously served as a member of the Price College of Business Advisory Council, and on the boards of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) and the Salvation Army. In 2022, Savoy recognized him as one of the Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America.
