Anita Holloway was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Kevin Stitt in February 2020. A native of Stuart, Oklahoma and a tribal member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation based in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Anita is an experienced audit partner with Ernst & Young LLP, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, operating in more than 150 countries. She is responsible for helping clients meet reporting requirements by providing an objective and independent examination of financial statements provided to investors and other stakeholders. This involves providing timely and constructive challenge to management on accounting and reporting matters and a clear perspective to audit committees charged with oversight. She is currently the partner-in-charge of world-wide audit and professional services to a Fortune 50 company. Within EY, Anita is known for her deep technical skills, authenticity, practicality, and collaborative, calm approach when working through her clients’ most complex issues. She is a developer of talent and a dedicated mentor to less experienced professionals. An avid and life-long Sooner, Anita believes strongly in the impact an education can have on a person’s life. In addition to her role on the Board of Regents, she serves on the Board of Advisors for each of the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business and the Price College Energy Institute and was a 2015 inductee into the University of Oklahoma Arthur B. Adams Society. For over fifteen years, Anita has annually contributed to accounting and law academic scholarship endowments that she established at the University of Oklahoma Foundation. She is a frequent speaker/guest lecturer for Price College, twice presenting the keynote speech at the Energy Executive Management Program closing dinner and serving as a panelist at the Social Responsibility and Business Ethics Forum on the topic of transparency and financial reporting. In 2016, Anita taught oil and gas accounting in Abu Dhabi, UAE at OU's Executive Management Program for Women in Energy, which was designed to encourage the development and advancement of women within the energy industry. She has facilitated the use of EY London’s space for the OU Energy Executive MBA study abroad since the program’s inception. As a nearly 30-year season ticket holder for OU football and men's basketball, Anita rarely misses a home game. She enjoys attending other Sooner sporting events as her schedule allows and has traveled extensively for tournaments, away games, the College World Series, the Final Four, and various bowl games. Anita also enjoys attending productions by OU’s University Theatre. In addition to her involvement at OU, Anita is active in the community, currently serving on the board and as the former Treasurer of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce and previously serving on the board and audit/finance committee for the Tulsa Area United Way. She was recognized in 2019 as an Oklahoma Woman of the Year – 50 Making a Difference honoree and is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 48.
