Academic Assessment

The mission of the Office of Academic Assessment is to promote student learning and overall success by fostering best assessment practices across all academic programs at OU. We offer services with regard to development, implementation, and review of assessment of student learning at course, program and institutional levels.

Academic Integrity

The Office of Academic Integrity Programs administers and promotes the University of Oklahoma's Academic Integrity Code and advises the student Integrity Council in all its activities. OAIP and the Integrity Council are available year-round to answer policy questions and provide classroom presentations on academic integrity.

Center for Faculty Excellence

The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) strives to support faculty success and well-being at all stages of faculty growth and development. The CFE provides support and skill development to help faculty enhance teaching, extend research and creative activities, engage in their communities, and foster leadership in an environment that encourages a culture of collegial support, inclusiveness, and excellence.

Community Engagement

Community Engagement at OU leads efforts to strengthen a university-wide infrastructure for community engagement including community-based research, service-learning, public outreach, and community-campus partnerships.

Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate consists of 50 members of the regular faculty elected to three-year terms by their colleges. The Senate exercises legislative powers as delegated by the regular faculty and has the power to initiate any legislation requiring approval of the OU Board of Regents.

University Ombudsperson

The university ombudsperson functions independently of all administrative and academic offices to ensure OU community members across all three campuses have an impartial, confidential space to express concerns, seek guidance and constructively resolve conflicts.

Research and Partnerships

OU is uniquely positioned to bring disparate academic disciplines, from the core STEM fields to the humanities and fine arts, together to foster creative, comprehensive solutions to global challenges.

Writing Center

The OU Writing Center is a student-focused resource that also provides instructional support at the classroom level. The Center offers informational visits, class or event workshops, and writing resources to help faculty support student growth.
