Conoco Phillips Gift

Thanks to Price College alumna and Board of Advisors member Glenda Schwarz (BBA, Accounting, 1988), Vice President and Controller of ConocoPhillips, part of a $6 million gift from ConocoPhillips, originally made in 2007, has been reallocated to support an endowed faculty position in Price College’s Steed School of Accounting. The newly dedicated funds, including an additional gift of $252,500, will now support the ConocoPhillips Chair in Energy Accounting.

“We are extremely grateful to ConocoPhillips and the leadership of Glenda Schwarz for making an investment in Price College and the Steed School of Accounting,” said interim dean Wayne Thomas. “These types of donations allow us the opportunity to recruit and retain top faculty to further enhance our high-performing Masters of Accountancy program, facilitate meaningful opportunities to conduct top-quality research on issues facing the energy industry, and dedicate faculty to preparing students at all levels for accounting careers in the energy industry.”
