Fall 2023 Brings Record Enrollment to OU’s Price College of Business
NORMAN, OKLA. –On the coattails of the University of Oklahoma’s announcement of its largest freshman class ever, the Michael F. Price College of Business is excited to report the biggest freshman enrollment in the college’s history.
More than 1,100 students — approximately 22% of OU’s Class of 2027 — have declared business majors. The growth marks a 15.5% increase over last year’s Price College previous record enrollment of 988 freshmen.
“We are proud to be an engine of growth for the University of Oklahoma,” said Corey Phelps, dean of the Price College of Business. “At a time when colleges across the nation are seeing flat or declining enrollments, the University of Oklahoma and Price College are reversing that trend with more interest than ever in business and all we have to offer.”
The double-digit growth in undergraduate business programs is matched by an 11.3% increase in Price College graduate program enrollments compared to fall 2022.
In total, Price College starts the new academic year with approximately 5,800 students — 300 more than in fall 2022.
“The growing interest in business among high school students and adult learners combined with the strong reputation of OU and Price College, the affordability and accessibility of our programs and the world-class education we provide students has fueled our growth,” Phelps said. “It’s an exciting time at Price as we prepare students to become future-ready innovators, professionals and leaders for an ever-changing business landscape.”
