Dr. Xinglong Ju received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he was a Ph.D. student researcher at the Center on Stochastic Modeling, Optimization, & Statistics. He received his MS degree in Computer Science and Technology, and BS degree in Software Engineering, both from China University of Petroleum. Before joining the MIS Department of OU, Xinglong was a researcher at Cornell University, focusing on machine learning for natural hazards. Before that, he was a researcher in the Medical Artificial Intelligence and Automation Laboratory at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His research interests include data analytics, optimization, and machine learning on healthcare and renewable energy. His research was published in journals such as Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, IEEE Open Journal of Engineering in Medicine and Biology, and Expert Systems with Applications.

Ju has expertise in programming (C/C++, Java, C#, Python, VB/VBA, and JavaScript), and he won two national programming competition awards. He developed several open-source toolboxes for data modeling on GitHub.
