Michael Harrison

Mike oversees all commercial activities for Valero’s eleven ethanol plants, including all supply and trading functions around corn procurement, risk management, ethanol sales, distillers grain sales, logistics and planning and economics. Mike has more than 30 years of experience, primarily in petroleum refining. Prior to his current assignment, Mike was responsible for strategic planning and optimization for seven Valero refineries in the Mid-Continent, North Atlantic and West Coast regions.

Most of Mike’s career was spent in refining operations and engineering functions, most recently in Valero’s Texas City refinery where he served as Director of Engineering and Project Development, Director of Operations and finally VP and General Manager for the refinery for several years. Prior to his time with Valero, Mike worked for UOP and CITGO in engineering and operations functions.
