Eric Davis

Eric Davis is a shareholder at Phillips Murrah, P.C. where he practices in the firm’s Government Relations and Compliance Practice Group and Clean Energy Practice Group. Eric advises utility-scale renewable energy developers with wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and transmission line projects, including in permitting, zoning, leasing, and regulatory compliance. He also represents large electric consumers to negotiate power purchase agreements.
In the utilities space, Eric represents investor-owned utilities, independent power producers, electric transmission companies, and public interest groups in rate cases, merger/acquisition applications, applications for certificates of authority, demand response/energy efficiency programs, and rulemaking proceedings. Industries represented include telecommunications, electric, gas, and water.
Prior to joining Phillips Murrah, Eric served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, and as legal counsel at both the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and the Oklahoma Tax Commission. He also served low-income Oklahomans at Legal Aid and spent two years clerking for the state trial courts of Vermont. Eric has a B.S. from Oklahoma State University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
