Doug Sandridge
Vice President, Fulcrum Energy Capital Funds
Doug Sandridge was literally born into the energy industry. He lived overseas during most of his childhood because of his father’s job as an exploration geologist for Phillips Petroleum Company. Doug started working in the “oil patch” at age 15 in Midland, Texas. While attending the University of Oklahoma, Doug worked as an oil field mechanic, roustabout, pumper, roughneck, draftsman and field landman. Doug graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in petroleum land management in May 1982. In 2011, Doug earned his Master of Science in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado-Denver.
During the past 45-plus years, Doug has primarily worked for petroleum exploration companies in Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana and Texas, with some experience in renewable energy. He is vice president at Fulcrum Energy Capital Funds, as well as an energy consultant and the founder of EnergyPolicyUS, an organization that promotes nonpartisan energy education. Doug lectures extensively about energy.
Doug has been happily married for 34 years and has three wonderful children. Outside of family, work and energy education, Doug’s hobbies include Boy Scouts, golf, genealogy and travel. He has traveled internationally to approximately 75 countries!
