Anita is a Partner with Ernst & Young LLP in its Tulsa, Oklahoma office.  A native of Stuart, Oklahoma, Anita spent the first twelve years of her career in public accounting in Tulsa and Oklahoma City focusing on serving Kerr-McGee Corporation and The Williams Companies.  She then relocated to Ernst & Young LLP’s Fort Worth, Texas office for seven years to serve Pioneer Natural Resources Company, Encore Acquisition Company, Union Drilling, Inc., and Range Resources Corporation.  She is delighted to have returned to Tulsa in 2011 to again serve The Williams Companies and to also serve Alliance Resource Partners, L.P.

Anita has worked extensively with publicly held companies, providing assistance with SEC reporting, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, various registration statements, and periodic filings.  She has served clients in a variety of industries but specializes in the energy and the oil and gas exploration and production fields.  Anita also has extensive experience working with master limited partnerships, assisting two clients with the successful initial public offering of a master limited partnership.  In 2008, Anita spoke at the National Association of Petroleum Accountant (NAPAC) conference on the topic of financial reporting issues of a master limited partnership.  She also regularly serves as an instructor for her firm’s oil and gas industry accounting training.

Anita graduated with highest academic achievement and honors from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in December 1992, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with a math minor.  She received the 1992 ECU School of Business Distinguished Graduate Award.  She has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Oklahoma since May 1993 and in the State of Texas since February 2005.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma and Texas Societies of Certified Public Accountants.  In 2005, Anita was honored by the Fort Worth YWCA at their annual Tribute to Women in Business.

Anita is a life-long University of Oklahoma Sooner fan and supporter.  She and her brother have established accounting and law scholarships through the University of Oklahoma Foundation, and she is a season football and men’s basketball season ticket holder.  With family in Norman and having lived there herself for ten years, she considers Norman a second home and is always looking for a reason to return.
