Connect & Give

The Price College of Business takes great pride in its over many graduates. Using exceptional business training and genuine work ethic, Price College alumni continue to succeed in various sectors of business throughout the U.S. and across the globe. Price College has garnered national recognition for excellence in education and unique programming and is continuing to build on its tradition of success and is setting the bar for academic excellence in the region.

Involvement opportunities at Price College are plentiful and allow alumni to carry on their proud Sooner tradition by reconnecting with classmates and impacting current students through their business knowledge and experience. Alumni and friends are invited to several Price College events each semester, including distinguished speaker series, regional receptions and pre-game tailgates.

The real value of Price College lies in its loyal alumni base. Whether in the boardroom, on the trading floor or at the helm of a family business, Price College alumni remember their Sooner roots.

Current giving priorities include:

If you would like to give to Price College online, please visit the OU Foundation website and select the program/division at Price College in which you would like to make the gift.

Giving Opportunities

Dean's Excellence Fund

To assist in implementing the Dean’s vision for Price College, the Dean's Excellence Fund was established to provide immediate and flexible funding for unforeseen circumstances, student and faculty emergencies, and new initiatives of the highest priority. Gifts to this fund provide a solid financial foundation from which the Dean can promote exceptional leadership, launch creative programs and address innovative opportunities for Price College.

Corporate Gifts

Gifts from corporations and foundations greatly enhance the possibilities available to Price College students, producing more knowledgeable and experienced graduates for professional recruitment. Consistently rated among the top 10 in the nation, the Entrepreneurship Program at Price was recently ranked second amoung public universities byThe Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. And Price College's undergraduate program is currently ranked in the top 50 among public and private institutions by U.S. News & World Report.

Endowed Gifts

Endowment funds provide the foundation that has allowed OU to move into the top tier of American public universities. An endowment leaves the principal donation intact, with only the earnings from the investment spent for the purpose designated by the donor. Price College donors can create endowments to support a wide range of programs and areas.

Currently, the majority of our endowed funds support named scholarships and faculty chairs and professorships.

Students are the heart of everything at the University of Oklahoma. Bright, dedicated, talented, determined and proud to be Sooners, they represent the future of our University, state and our nation.

The opportunity to attend OU has changed thousands of lives since the University was founded. Endowed scholarship support in Price College will improve the lives of deserving young people for generations to come, with only the earnings expended each year and leaving the principal intact.

Scholarship endowments can be created with at least $10,000. They can be restricted to a favorite division or school or be left unrestricted to be used where the need is greatest.

Leadership level endowments of at least $40,000 allow Price College to attract top students with awards of $1,000 per semester or $2,000 a year.

Planned Gifts

Through a planned or deferred gift, donors can reach across the generations to touch the future of OU and its students. A donor may make his or her gift unrestricted so that it can be used in an area where it is needed most, or may designate the gift to benefit a favorite division, school or program within Price College.

Planned gifts are as unique as each individual who makes one and may be tailored in a way that best serves the donor's needs, objectives, and wishes, as well as those of Price College.

These important gifts can offer significant tax- and estate-planning benefits for donors.

Our development staff will work with donors and their representatives on a variety of planned options to support Price College, including bequests, charitable remainder trusts, real estate, and life insurance.

OU has established a special organization, the George Lynn Cross Heritage Society, to honor donors who have made planned gifts to the University. The Heritage Society is named for Dr. Cross, OU's beloved seventh president, whose many contributions to OU included the establishment of the University of Oklahoma Foundation to serve as the guardian of private gifts.

Many alumni and donors choose to make a planned gift through a will or living trust, which enables you to retain your assets during your lifetime, while helping OU in the future. Bequests can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the balance of your estate after providing for your family or other loved ones. A bequest removes those assets from your estate and reduces tax liability. Donors can designate planned gifts to the Price College of Business. Benefits may include life income, avoidance of capital gains tax and immediate income tax deductions, among others.

The Arthur B. Adams Society

Investing in Students, Changing Lives

Established in 2010, the Arthur B. Adams Society serves as a valuable network of supporters who are greatly valued by the Price College community. Having a loyal and supportive group of donors and key stakeholders is considered a mark of an outstanding business school, and there has never been a more exciting time to contribute to our students’ successes.

Private support provides a critical source of expendable capital that impacts every aspect of the college’s purpose. Price relies on this support to remain competitive, flexible, and innovative. The Price College of Business includes Adams Society members in special university and college events, regional receptions, communications, and other activities of Price College.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Arthur B. Adams Society or would like more information, please contact the Price College Office of Advancement.
