Wil Fisackerly, Ph.D. came to OU in Fall 2024 after graduating from the University of South Carolina. "Fisack", as he is known in the esports industry, brings experience in esports and sports finance to Price College. His research focuses on the collegiate esports industry and the overall development of the esports ecosystem. He has received a nomination from the National Association of Collegiate Esports for Scholar of the Year and was awarded the Doctoral Teacher of the Year for the Sport and Entertainment Management Department at USC. In his current role, he oversees the Esports Business certificate and teaches courses in esports, sports finance, sports sales, and introductory sports business courses.
