About Meléndez

Eduardo Meléndez is a third-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at the University of Oklahoma Michael F. Price School of Business. His research interests include market category creation and civic wealth creation, focusing in particular on the strategies and mechanisms by which entrepreneurial actors collectively create opportunities and influence different types of changes.

Eduardo is originally from Ecuador. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and foreign affairs from The University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. During his 14 years of entrepreneurial and corporate experience, he founded a social venture in the sports sector and a financial service firm and held a C-level executive position in one of Ecuador’s Top 100 business conglomerates.
