Nick (Haocheng) is a second-year PhD student in Accounting at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining the doctoral program, Haocheng earned his Master of Finance degree from the University of Florida in 2020. He also holds a BSc in International Business from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (China), a BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK), and a BSc in Management from Keuka College (US). After obtaining his Master’s degree from UF, he worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young for nearly two years while pursuing a law degree part-time at China University of Political Science and Law. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has completed 3 out of the 4 AICPA exams. His main research interest lies in financial accounting and corporate governance, particularly in ESG issues. Outside of work, Haocheng enjoys cooking, fishing, and climbing.
