Mengyang Davila received a bachelor’s in accounting from Shanghai International Studies University and a master’s in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Upon completion of an internship with General Motors, she worked as an associate auditor at Deloitte before beginning her doctoral studies.
Davilla joined the John T. Steed School of Accounting in 2021. Her research interests include factors that influence audit committee effectiveness, auditor competence, and audit quality. Together with her husband and two sons, she enjoys living and commuting between Norman and her Dallas residence.
