Sean Dwyer’s primary research interests center on topics of purpose, resilience, and fraud in entrepreneurship. His research has been published in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, and Business Horizons. Prior to joining OU, he completed his PhD in Entrepreneurship at Baylor University and earned a Master’s of Accounting and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Tulane University. His industry experience includes working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Grant Thornton, LLP an external auditor, founding and operating a clothing line called Good Word Co., and providing outsourced CFO services to a wide range of companies through Crossmark Management Group. He has also spent time volunteering internationally in SE Asia, SE Europe, and Eastern Africa assisting local entrepreneurs. He is passionate about understanding how business is used as a force for good in society and helping raise up the next generation of business leaders. At OU, he teaches New Venture Development II which focuses on feasibility analysis and developing viable business models to refine concepts and prepare ventures for further development.
