Michelle “Shelly” Grunsted is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. She teaches courses including Legal Environment of Business I & II, Real Property, Negotiations, and Management, while also delivering advanced coursework in Employment Law, Business Organizations, Energy Law, and International Business Law at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

In addition to her academic contributions, she has held several leadership roles, including serving as the inaugural Executive Director of the Center for Student Success and as the former Director of the First Fidelity Integrated Business Core (IBC) program.

Professor Grunsted currently holds dual leadership positions as the Director of the Pre-Law Scholars Program at the University of Oklahoma's Honors College and as the Pre-Law faculty advisor for Pre-Law@Price, where she has been instrumental in guiding aspiring legal professionals.

Her scholarly work has been published in the Michigan Law Review Journal of Gender and Law, Oklahoma Law Review, Tulsa Law Review, and the National Sovereignty Symposium. She has also been a featured speaker for NASA’s Diversity Council, the National Sovereignty Symposium, and Oklahoma’s Scholars Day.

Professor Grunsted’s current research focuses on generational differences in the workplace, deepfakes and their impact on evidence in the courts, and federal, state, and tribal court jurisdictional issues, including full faith and credit. Additionally, she has provided consulting services to several Native American tribes, specializing in land and economic development, grant acquisition and implementation, and the formulation of tribal court regulatory and civil codes.
