Maryam Fathollahi is an assistant professor of finance. Her primary area of interest is in empirical corporate finance, and her research interests include capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, impacts of product and labor markets on corporate financial decisions, and use of machine learning, neural networks analysis, and natural language processing in finance research. She received her Ph.D. in finance from the University of Arizona. She holds an MBA in finance, as well as masters and bachelor’s degrees in computer engineering.
