Mr. Scherrer arrived at The University of Oklahoma in September of 2025. Prior to joining his fellow colleagues at the Price College of Business, he had enjoyed working as a secondary school counselor just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. He is a former associate of the GEAR UP federal grant program as a College & Career Advisor in Jacksonville, Florida, working to aide in awareness of post-secondary opportunities alongside an exceptional team of counselors and students (which he attributes to be a significant and personal mark of his formation within the counseling profession). Prior to his work in academia, Mr. Scherrer practiced real estate in the City of New York.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and a Master of Education from the University of North Florida, Mr. Scherrer values the advancement of one’s education and is proud to maintain many fond academic and personal friendships from his time in both states. He and his wife reside in the great state of Oklahoma and are grateful to contribute their talent to the greater university community as members of the Sooner family. In his personal life, Mr. Scherrer enjoys expressing his musical side as a singer in local choirs, traveling to visit treasured family and friends, and putting on his cowboy hat at the dance halls in Dallas. His furry friend, Grey (the terrier-mix that loves to steal his seat on the recliner), enjoys calling Oklahoma “home” alongside him.
