How do I start taking classes as a military service member?
Contact your Installation Education Center to speak with an Education Counselor (ESO), and visit the OU Online Application for Admission page.
When do I get my official degree plan?
After you have been fully admitted to the University of Oklahoma, an academic advisor will complete a degree plan using all of the transcripts you have submitted for evaluation of transfer credit.
When will my military Tuition Assistance be processed?
After the add/drop period, one week after the beginning of the term for eight-week terms.
How much credit will I get for my military training?
Each individual is evaluated on a case-by-case basis using all provided military transcripts. There is no standard block of credit for a branch of service or a specific military position.
When must I submit my tuition assistance form?
Prior to the start of the term, but no later than the last day of add drop. Depending on your branch of service, you may not get tuition assistance if you have not requested it through your branch of service prior to the first day of class.
Service members should contact their respective Education Service Office for guidance in following the correct procedures for enrollment in an OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies program.

Air Force Tuition Assistance - Active duty service members may request Tuition Assistance by contacting their Base Education Office to request Tuition Assistance forms.
The G.I. Bill® - Students who are eligible for the G.I. Bill® and plan on using the education benefits should follow the Department of Veterans Affairs guidelines.
Transfer Credit
Enlisted members may qualify for undergraduate transfer credit for military training and will need to provide official transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to determine undergraduate credit eligibility.
