Associate Professor, Interdisciplinary Studies - Criminal Justice

Melissa Inglis, Ph.D., is an associate professor of criminal justice for the OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies. Before teaching at OU, she was associate professor and assistant dean at East Central University. 

Her research areas include rural crime, policing, qualitative methodology, drug policy, and victimology. Much of her research has practical applications to the criminal justice system in Oklahoma and nationwide.

She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in psychology from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a doctoral degree in criminal justice from the University of New Haven.
