Tailgating on a football game day is a wonderful and long-standing tradition at The University of Oklahoma. The University is proud to welcome visitors on home football game days and other major event days, such as commencement. This Tailgating and Major Event Day Policy is designed to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of fans and guests, and the safety, security, and well-being of all people associated with game day or major event day activities and the safeguarding and preservation of all public property under the University’s care.
Out of respect for our students that live on campus, the tailgating area on the south side of Lindsey Street between Jenkins and Asp Avenues has the following site-specific rules:
It's game time! As always, we expect a packed house on game days, so plan where you park before arriving for the game. Paid lots, free lots, and reserved spots are available. Find a parking place for your Soonermobile on the game day parking map.
PARK FOR FREE, RIDE THE SHUTTLE
To help alleviate parking congestion on OU home football game days, shuttle service is provided from Lloyd Noble Center to a stop near the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
Fans may park at the Lloyd Noble Center for free and pay $5 for a round trip ride on the shuttle. The shuttles begin three hours before each game (four hours before homecoming). Shuttles from the LNC continue until one hour after the game or until the line of fans has dispersed.
