Understanding the real challenges and opportunities that an organization may face is an important part of what leaders do. While the task of maximizing organizational productivity and efficiency may seem daunting, leaders who understand how their decisions can affect all aspects of an organization can make the greatest impact.
The 100% online Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Organizational Leadership program will increase your capacity to lead by showing you real-world organizational leadership practices that can produce solutions in your current and future positions. The organizational leadership degree completion program requires 120 credit hours to graduate, and 60-90 of those hours can be transferred to OU from other institutions.
For example, if a student transfers in 90 credit hours, only 30 hours at OU are required to complete the degree. At $500 per credit hour, the cost to that student would be $15,000.
$15,000-$30,000 depending on the number of transfer credits
1 Credit Hour = $500
3 Credit Hours = $1,500
6 Credit Hours = $3,000
9 Credit Hours = $4,500
Fees associated with the program are included. Books and materials are additional.
Offered through the nationally ranked OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies, the Bachelor of Arts – Organizational Leadership online program is a fast-paced, accelerated program designed to accommodate working adults. When you are admitted into the program, you will be assigned an advisor who creates an individualized graduation plan. This plan will help organize and identify the courses you need for your degree.
These courses will total a minimum of 30 credit hours completed in the upper-division (3000-4000) level. Degree topics will vary depending on your proposed plan of study.
All undergraduate courses in this program are eight weeks long. Most students choose to take four courses (or 12 credit hours) a semester; two courses the first half of the semester and two courses the second half of the semester. The number of credit hours you take each semester should be discussed with your advisor and reflective of your personal and work schedules — these courses are fast-paced and intensive.
Designed for working professionals who want to finish their degree quickly, the Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership can be completed in as little as 12 months, depending on the number of transfer credit hours you have.
