Offered through the nationally ranked Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, the online M.S. in Business Analytics program is designed to provide maximum flexibility for you to complete your degree from anywhere.

The program focuses on statistical modeling, data warehousing and mining, analytical programming, forecasting, data visualization, and machine learning techniques for analyzing business organizations and performance. In addition to learning to leverage technical skills, students can tailor part of their program towards other crucial business topics such as cybersecurity, accounting IT audit, supply chain current topics, and generative AI.

Program Breakdown

Designed for working professionals, the Master of Science in Business Analytics is a 100% online, 32-credit program that offers convenience and flexibility for students working full-time. The program can be completed in as little as 16 months.

Courses are delivered in a hybrid format that includes synchronous, online delivery on weekday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. CT, allowing students to interact with professors and classmates in real-time. Some courses are delivered asynchronously through recorded lectures.

Students can choose either a fall or spring start. Both starting options (fall or spring) begin with the following four core courses:

How to Apply

The Master of Science in Business Analytics program is highly selective. Applicants are not required to have academic or professional experience in the business analytics field prior to application. Although it’s not required, students would benefit from expertise in programming, writing code, use of complicated software, IT implementation, and general technical skills.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to apply. The committee will specifically review GPAs in quantitative coursework.  

To apply, students must:

 

  • Complete the online application at https://gograd.ou.edu/apply/
  • Submit a current resume
  • Provide official college transcripts from all institutions
  • Submit a personal statement to help the admissions committee better understand you, your professional accomplishments, and your career aspirations.
  • GRE/GMAT score - Candidates may request a GMAT/GRE waiver if they meet specific criteria. Speak with your enrollment coach to see if you may be eligible. 
  • International applicants must receive a TOEFL score of 600 or higher on the paper-based test (250 on the computer, 100 on the internet-based test) sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to Institution Code 6879. 

 

The admissions committee operates under a rolling admission process, and admissions may continue until two weeks before classes start. The committee strives to respond to all applicants within two weeks of submitting a completed application.

Tuition and fees for the program are $31,520 ($985 per credit hour). Books and additional materials are not included.

Once accepted into the program, students must submit a $350 nonrefundable deposit within two weeks. Deposits are applied toward tuition expenses and secure a student’s place in the upcoming class. There is no application fee for this degree.
