In Their Words

“I wondered whether or not I would be able to make the connections necessary for my professional work. I was glad when I found that my worries were unwarranted. My professors have been willing to suggest future connections and answer questions about career possibilities. Additionally, the career center has been very helpful..”

—Emily Holladay, B.A. Lifespan Care Administration, 2020

Yes. The University of Oklahoma’s online bachelor’s programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and are created by university staff and faculty. Graduates of online programs receive the same degree designation as students who attend class on campus.

To be admitted to the online bachelor’s degree, students must have 60+ hours of letter-graded college credit, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and be 25 years of age or older.

Students must:

  • Complete the online application at attend.ou.edu
  • Provide official college transcripts from all institutions
  • International students must demonstrate English proficiency

For more information on the admissions process or to request a transfer credit evaluation, please schedule a call, and an admissions counselor will be in touch shortly.

If you are younger than 25 or do not have 60 college credit hours, the University of Oklahoma offers a number of bachelor’s degree programs that might be right for you. More information about these degrees can be found on the College of Professional and Continuing Studies website.

No. Applicants should have at least 60 hours of letter-graded college credit, but they do not need an associate degree to be admitted.

Our programs are offered year-round and in eight-week increments. You can apply to begin in the fall (August or October), spring (January or March), and summer.

The admissions committee operates under a rolling admission process, and admissions may continue until two weeks before the start of classes. The committee strives to respond to all applicants within two weeks from the time a completed application is submitted.
