Joyce Burch
Director of the Office of Corporate Partnerships and Regional Economic Development
Joyce Burch is the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Regional Economic Development, in the Office of Innovation and Corporate Partnerships. In this role, she identifies, develops and manages partnerships with private industry, external economic development organizations and government agencies on behalf of the Office of Vice President for Research and Partnerships.
Joyce has an extensive history of working with the business community to solve complicated issues. Prior to joining the University of Oklahoma, she served as Senior Manager, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. In that role, she acted as Project Manager for the Bass Initiative on Innovation and Placemaking Study, working closely with the Brookings Institute and Project for Public Spaces to recommend strategies to develop and grow an Innovation District near downtown Oklahoma City. She also helped develop and manage the Greater Grads program, a proactive approach to retaining college students in Oklahoma after their graduation. The Greater Grads program featured an internship component which helped area companies develop an internship program, a career fair featuring Oklahoma-only positions, and a networking/education series called Intern OKC. Intern OKC was a series of lunch sessions in which community leaders discussed the advantages of living and working in Oklahoma City, and interns networked with their peers.
Joyce is a proud University of Oklahoma Price College of Business alumna and completed her MBA at Oklahoma City University.
