Noah joined the Oklahoma Geological Survey in 2024, where he is assessing the critical mineral resources of Oklahoma. His research interests are in sedimentology, stratigraphy, geochemistry, and economic geology of the Midcontinent United States.
He received his B.S. degree in geology from OU in 2010 and he went to the University of Arkansas for his M.S. degree in geology in 2017 and Ph.D. in 2023. For his Ph.D., Noah researched the Mississippi Valley-type lead-zinc ores of the Midcontinent U.S. and their relationship with organic-rich shales.
When not doing geologic activities, he is often found hiking, reading, or tinkering with his car.
