Elizabeth Cormack is a Research Associate at the Oklahoma Geological Survey, where she works to organize and preserve the archival cores and cuttings collections at the OPIC facility. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Oklahoma in 2021, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in both laboratory and field research with the Oklahoma Biological Survey’s plant ecology lab. Over the past three years, Elizabeth worked as a primate and avian caretaker at the Oklahoma City Zoo, leading behavioral studies to improve caretaking practices while also digitizing and systematizing key departmental records. In her current role, Elizabeth is actively aiding efforts to enhance the organization and accessibility of the OPIC collection, contributing to the efficient storage and broader public availability of the data.

When Elizabeth isn’t found at the local rock-climbing gym, she enjoys reading or puzzling at home alongside her four cats and fiancé.
