Dr. Belkasim Khameiss is a distinguished geoscientist with expertise in sedimentology, geochemistry, mineral exploration, and biostratigraphy. His research focuses on the characterization of sedimentary basins, coastal geomorphology, hydrocarbon exploration, and critical mineral assessments.
Dr. Khameiss earned his Ph.D. in Geology from Ball State University, graduating in 2020. His academic journey has been marked by a commitment to advancing geological sciences through innovative research, fieldwork, and mentorship. He has held key roles in geological surveys and research institutions, contributing to major studies on sedimentary sequences, resource evaluation, and environmental changes.
Currently, Dr. Khameiss leads the STATEMAP program in Oklahoma, overseeing geological mapping projects and the assessment of critical mineral deposits. His work plays a crucial role in understanding the geological framework of the region, supporting resource exploration, and aiding in the development of sustainable extraction methods.
Dr. Khameiss is a passionate educator, mentoring students in geochronological analysis, field mapping techniques, and data-driven geological investigations. His collaborations span international projects, focusing on North Africa’s Miocene formations, the Pennsylvanian strata of the Midcontinent, and emerging resource prospects.
Dr. Khameiss is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of geological sciences. He welcomes collaborations, consulting opportunities, and discussions on innovative geological solutions.
